Funny Ways People Have Died at Restaurants
When was the last time you heard about a man who died because of laughing too much or somebody who tripped over from a ferry while doing the infamous Kate Winslet pose from Titanic? Whatever you've heard or seen, we bet it wasn't as weird and funny as the ones we have in store for you.
Death by Beard
The man holding a world record for the longest beard, Hans Steininger, was escaping his town during fire. However, his beard had something else planned out for him. During the escape, he forgot to roll up and tie his beard which led to him tripping on his bear and suffering multiple injuries which eventually killed him.
Beer Flood
As much cool as it sounds, it wasn't all that good. The Meux and Company Brewery suffered the rupture of huge vats of beer which resulted into a flood. The town was flooded with fresh beer and 8 people drowned in it. In total, 322003.0 gallons of beer flooded the town.
Over the Moon
Li Bai, a famous Chinese poet, died by drowning. He was known to be a nature lover and also expressed his love for moon in his poetries. One fine night, he was out on his boat, trying to kiss the reflection of the moon. To everyone's surprise, he fell into the water and drowned. Well, "Find what you love and let it kill you," fits perfectly with this incident.
Torched Brandy
Charles II of Navarre was wrapped in brandy-soaked linen when he fell ill in 1387 but the servant, who was stitching his wounds, forgot her scissors and used a candle to cut the thread. When it all went up in flames, she scarpered, leaving him to burn alive.
Pissed Off Bladder
In 1601, a Danish astronomer, Tycho Brahe, died at 54 in Prague. He developed an infection after his bladder burst because leaving the table at a banquet to relieve himself would have "breached etiquette."
Laughing 'ass' it goes
In 207 BC, the Greek philosopher Chrysippus died of laughing too much. After getting his donkey drunk on wine and watching it try to eat figs, Chrysippus thought it'd be even funnier if he died of laughing so that other people could laugh on how stupid it was. The Donkey probably didn't even cry.
Holy Cow!
In 2016, Joao Maria DeSouza died in his sleep. Seems like a good way to go, right? Well, not so much. He died when his cow fell through his roof onto him as he was asleep on the ground.
Scaly Death
A crew and total passengers of 20 died in a plane crash. One traveller was smuggling a crocodile but it freed itself in mid-air. The tiny plane was left hopelessly unbalanced and went into a terminal dive, despite the lack of any technical failure.
Only one passenger survived and of course, the crocodile.
The Snake Peak
Two friends died in Alabama in the year 1995 when they got drunk and decided to bully a snake. One of them died after the both of them were bit. Ssserves them right!
Gone in a Flash
In 1997, a burglar was trying to rob a bicycle shop. To keep his hands idle, he placed his flashlight in his mouth. Unfortunately, he was found dead with this flashlight crushed through his skull. Probably because he fell face first on the ground.
